TokenTable Standard

The TokenTable Standard Spreadsheet is a free tool that helps founders present their tokenomics clearly to their community, investors, and future exchange partners. It is based on conversations with exchanges about what they need to see, and on established practices for sustainable token economies.

Make a copy of the spreadsheet. The sections below explain each part of it.

Section I: Project details

Cells C4 to C11 hold the token's core attributes. You fill in the fields in blue text; the fields in black text are calculated from what you enter. Cir. Supply at TGE (%) is calculated once you enter the vesting details further down.

Section II: Token allocation

Cells A15 to G26 define each allocation group, with these fields:

  • Pocket Label: name of the allocation group.
  • Category: type of group. Some categories have constraints.
  • Percentage: share of the total token supply.
  • Total Amount: calculated from Percentage and Max Supply (cell C10).
  • Wallet Control: how the tokens are distributed, such as Smart Contract, Multi-Sig, or Custodial Services.
  • Init. Wallet Address: onchain wallet address that receives the initial distribution at TGE.
  • Valuation: for investor groups, the company's valuation at the time of investment.

When you finish, the checker in rows 29 and 30 validates the allocation and suggests changes, for example "Team and investor allocations should not exceed 40%" or "Liquidity should not exceed 3%".

Section III: Token release schedule

Rows 34 to 37 hold the vesting details for each allocation group:

  • Unlocked at TGE: percentage of tokens released on the day of TGE.
  • Lockup Duration: months the tokens stay fully locked after TGE (the cliff).
  • Unlock Duration: months over which tokens are released after the cliff.
  • Unlock Frequency: how often tokens are released, such as monthly or quarterly.

Rows 38 to 123 show the monthly releases, calculated from rows 34 to 37. The checker in rows 29 and 30 also reviews the vesting setup and suggests changes, for example "Investor lockup and unlock duration should total at least 36 months".
